The tardy bell rings at 8:25am. If students arrive late, they should be escorted by their parents to the school office to sign in. Please write in the school log the reason for tardiness. Do not take the child directly to the classroom. Please note that three tardies or early dismissals equal one absence.
ABSENCES
If your child is ill or unable to come to school, please call the school office after 8:15am in order to notify the teacher. A written note must accompany the child upon return to school explaining the reason for the absence. Children will be counted absent if they miss 1/2 of the school day. This includes late arrival or early dismissal.
EARLY DISMISSALS
Should you need to pick up your child before the end of the school day, please use the following procedure:
Write a note to your child's teacher indicating the reason for dismissal and the approximate time you will arrive to pick up your child.
Upon arrival, go directly to the school office to sign the Dismissal Log, and the child will be called to the office. This keeps classroom disruption to a minimum. Children will not be called for early dismissal after 2:30pm except in an emergency.

Students are required to go directly home after school unless the student is involved in a school approved activity. Students need to bring a note if they are not going home in their usual manner. When the request involves bus transportation, the note must be delivered to the bus driver by the child. The note must be signed by the Principal.
