Things are quite busy around here as we anxiously await and prepare for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 12th. With Westview's outstanding faculty, staff, students and parents, 2008-2009 is sure to be another fantastic school year! I am looking forward to seeing our returning students again and getting to know all of our new students. I would especially like to welcome the new children in our Kindergarten classes. This is an exciting time for you! Welcome to Westview--you are sure to love it here!
Parents, I would like to encourage you to get involved--from PTA to book fairs, reading groups to homeroom mom, there are countless ways to make a contribution to your child's school. Over the coming weeks and months, there will be many opportunities for you to volunteer, so please consider giving a portion of your time and talents. There's a lot going on here at Westview--stay connected by visiting the website frequently and checking your child's backpack daily for important information.
Finally, I would like to give special recognition to Westview Elementary's business partners for 2008-2009: Super Bi-Lo (East Brainerd Rd & Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd locations), Claydough's Pizza, Chick-fil-A (Hamilton Place Mall), Box It!, and Texas Roadhouse. These companies have committed themselves to helping Westview maintain our standard of excellence. Please patronize these businesses whenever possible and thank them for supporting our school.
